Tibet is a heartrending example of what happens when a government wrests control from the people and governs unchecked, through fear and violence. It is our duty as human beings to stand in solidarity with those Tibetans willing to put life and limb on the line for sovereignty, for political and religious self-determination.

Likewise, it is our duty as humans to be ever vigilant and unyielding in keeping out own government in check so that what is happening to Tibet, and to any Chinese that dare speak out against oppression, does not happen to us as well.
