"I will be talking [to Judge Sotomayor] about the question of
foreign law and the question of [her] commitment to the Second
Amendment, the right to keep and bear arms.... President Obama, who
nominated Judge Sotomayor, has a rather limited view of what the Second
Amendment guarantees." -- Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), June 2009

Today, the U.S. Senate commences hearings on Justice Sonia Sotomayor,
who was nominated by President Obama to replace the retiring Judge
David Souter on the U.S. Supreme Court.

In many ways, Sotomayor's views are out-of-step with our American
heritage and with the views of Americans in general. For example,
Sotomayor believes that our fundamental law is constantly evolving and

Joel Mathis The Pig!

On a tip from a member of Philadelphia We Are Change, I just read a brutal hit piece by Joel Mathis on philadelphiaweekly.com . http://www.philadelphiaweekly.com/news-and-opinion/Cup-O-Joel.html

Now being a participant in the festivities this past saturday made me very hopeful that people here in philadelphia were waking up to the truth about our federal government. I didn't stay around for the reteaparty because of another engagement I had that afternoon but the many people who came out were there for one reason, to celebrate a revolt agaisnt a tyrannical governement and the ensueing war that led the birth of this once great nation

Now that said, I can say Larken Rose has alot to be pissed off about, he went jail convicted on charges that formulated from laws that aren't even constitutionaly legal. He has every right to to be a little upset. Although I dont agree with the whole killing of cops thing because it is just morally wrong and foolish to even suggest.

Last week we told you how NRA's Past President Sandy Froman was
calling on all NRA members to vigorously oppose the nomination of
Judge Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. She did this in response to
the "wait and see" approach that the NRA's upper management
has taken
in regard to the Sotomayor nomination -- an approach that may well
allow her to wiggle through and be confirmed.

Yesterday, Sandy Froman struck again. But this time she was joined
with another past president of the NRA and several current Board
members, as well.

"Judge Sotomayor's record on the Second Amendment causes us grave
concern over her treatment of this enumerated right [to keep and
bear arms]," the coalition stated.

"As Second Amendment leaders deeply concerned about preserving all

Whistleblower Who Linked “Taliban” Leader To US Intelligence Is Assassinated

By Steve Watson | Global Research | July 1, 2009

A whistleblower who defected from the Pakistani Taliban has been assassinated just days after he claimed that the group was working with US intelligence to destabilize the country.

Qari Zainuddin, a tribal leader of the South Waziristan region in Pakistan was shot dead on Tuesday by a gunman said to be loyal to Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud.

Analysts said that Mr Zainuddin’s murder was a serious blow to the military campaign against the militants, as support of his faction was considered crucial, reports the London Times. “[It] is a warning to other pro government tribal commanders,” said Mahmood Shah, a retired brigadier who had served as top official in the tribal region.

Zainuddin had rejected Mehsud’s Taliban tribe, and shifted his allegiance to the Pakistani government, following a string of suicide bombings targeting mosques and civilians.

Amendments to the 2010 National Defense Authorization Act, which has already been passed by the House, would empower the Attorney General Eric Holder to define gun owners, anti-abortion activists and tax protesters as domestic terrorists in light of recent federal reports that classify millions of Americans as “extremists”.

Former impeached Florida judge and now Democratic Congressman Alcee Hastings has introduced amendments to H.R. 2647: National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010, which would give Holder dictator powers to demonize legitimate protest groups as being affiliated with violent race hate organizations.
